New Cycling Holidays for 2016

Posted on December 10, 2015 by

Our product team have spent the Autumn scouring Europe for new cycling adventures and we’re excited to unveil no less than 12 brand new leisure cycling holidays for 2016.

Champagne & Paris

Paris and Champagne Bike and Boat

A wonderful new bike and boat holiday linking Paris with the Champagne region is already attracting interest and we’ve also added a new Kvarner Bay route to our very popular Croatian bike and boat programme.

Fancy a city cycling break then how about Barcelona? A pleasant cycling climate, some amazing sights and more bars and restaurants per capita than any other European city – what’s not to like!

Canal de Garonne

Our Canal de Garonne Cycling Holiday leads riders on a relaxing, peaceful journey from Bordeaux on the Atlantic Coast, inland to Toulouse. Staying in France, we’ve also launched new Cycling Holidays in Provence, exploring the delightful perched villages of the Luberon,  and Alsace, showcasing seas of glorious vineyards and small, charming villages.

In Italy we’ve added a new moderate grade, cycling holiday in Piedmont to complement our existing, leisurely itinerary. This new route will appeal to regular riders who  don’t mind taking on a few hills to see the region’s most beautiful scenery and villages. Conversely, we’ve added a new, Leisurely South Sardinia Cycling Holiday which offers relaxed, easy cycling and plenty of time to visit the myriad of fabulous beaches along the route.

Easy:
Our easy cycling holidays offer short daily rides on mostly level terrain. A typical day’s ride will take 2 – 3 hours at a leisurely pace and the remainder of the day will be free for you to explore further or simply relax. These rides are particularly recommended for newcomers to cycling holidays and for families.

Leisurely:
Our leisurely cycle holidays will suit those who are reasonably fit through regular exercise of one kind or another – not necessarily cycling. On the whole, the terrain will be level but there may also be a few small hills to contend with along the way too. Daily rides will typically take around 3 – 4 hours to complete.

Moderate:
Our moderate cycle holidays are for regular cyclists, who are used to longer rides with regular climbs. A good level of fitness is needed and you can expect to be in the saddle for between 4 and 5 hours each day.

Challenging:
These holidays are for seasoned cyclists who cycle long distances regularly and who enjoy the thrill of long days in the saddle. There will undoubtedly be some challenging climbs along the way and you can expect to cover between 55 and 75 miles each day.
