On a bike and hotel cycling holiday you will stay in accommodation ranging from charming bed-and-breakfast properties through to luxury hotels along the route. The type of accommodation varies depending on the chosen cycle holiday. On each tour page you will find a list of the properties typically used on that tour, with links to their own websites.
Many of our bike and hotel cycling holiday offer a choice of accommodation to suit different tastes and budgets. The properties are always convenient to the cycle route and the staff are experienced in meeting the needs of cycling guests. There will always be a secure place to store the bike and you will often find a bike pump and other basic maintenance tools at your disposal should you need to do any fine tuning after your day's ride.
On a bike and hotel holiday your luggage is always transported on to your next hotel each day. This leaves you free to enjoy the daily rides with the just the essentials for the day in your bike pannier.
We also offer a range of single-centre cycling holidays. On these holidays you will settle into one hotel and stay there for the duration of your trip. Each day you'll select a a different, circular, scenic route that will showcase a different aspect of the surrounding area. These holidays appeal to cyclists who prefer to relax and settle into a property for the duration of their holiday rather than moving on each da.
Our easy cycling holidays offer short daily rides on mostly level terrain. A typical day’s ride will take 2 – 3 hours at a leisurely pace and the remainder of the day will be free for you to explore further or simply relax. These rides are particularly recommended for newcomers to cycling holidays and for families.
Our leisurely cycle holidays will suit those who are reasonably fit through regular exercise of one kind or another – not necessarily cycling. On the whole, the terrain will be level but there may also be a few small hills to contend with along the way too. Daily rides will typically take around 3 – 4 hours to complete.
Our moderate cycle holidays are for regular cyclists, who are used to longer rides with regular climbs. A good level of fitness is needed and you can expect to be in the saddle for between 4 and 5 hours each day.
These holidays are for seasoned cyclists who cycle long distances regularly and who enjoy the thrill of long days in the saddle. There will undoubtedly be some challenging climbs along the way and you can expect to cover between 55 and 75 miles each day.
